1. Overview
These Payment Terms govern all payments made in connection with subscription plans and services on OptionsSimulator.com (the "Service"), operated by Thetix Technologies Ltd, a company incorporated in England and Wales under Company Number 17113756, with its registered office at 2 Frederick Street, Kings Cross, London WC1X 0ND, United Kingdom ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
These Payment Terms form part of, and are subject to, our Terms of Service. By purchasing a subscription or making any payment on the Service, you agree to these Payment Terms. Please also review our Refund Policy for information about cancellations and refunds.
2. Currency and Pricing
All prices on the Service are displayed and charged in United States Dollars (USD). The price you see at the time of purchase is the price you will be charged.
Depending on your location, your bank or payment provider may apply currency conversion fees if your account is denominated in a currency other than USD. These fees are set by your bank or card issuer and are outside our control. We are not responsible for any additional charges resulting from currency conversion.

We reserve the right to modify pricing, introduce new plans, or discontinue existing plans at any time. Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until the next renewal period. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes that affect your subscription.
4. Payment Processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe (stripe.com). Stripe is a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor — the highest level of certification available in the payments industry.
When you make a payment, your payment details are transmitted directly to Stripe using industry-standard TLS encryption. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit or debit card numbers. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data it processes. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
4.1 Accepted Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods through Stripe:
- Major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover)
- Other payment methods as made available by Stripe in your region
The availability of specific payment methods may vary depending on your location and Stripe's regional support.
4.2 Payment Confirmation
Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address associated with your account. This email serves as your payment receipt. All payment receipts and invoices are also available through your account settings on the Service.
5. Auto-Renewal
Monthly and Annual subscription plans (Basic and Premium) are set to automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. This means:
- Monthly plans: your subscription will renew on the same calendar date each month (or the last day of the month if the original date does not exist in the renewal month).
- Annual plans: your subscription will renew on the anniversary of your original purchase date each year. The 20% annual discount is applied for the duration of continuous subscription.
- Stripe will automatically charge the payment method on file at the then-current subscription price.
- You will receive an email notification before each renewal as a reminder.
The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment and does not involve auto-renewal.
6. Free Plan
The Free plan provides limited access to the Service at no cost and does not require a payment method. We reserve the right to modify the scope and features available under the Free plan at any time without prior notice. No payment is required to register for or use the Free plan.
7. Upgrading and Downgrading
7.1 Upgrading
You may upgrade your subscription plan at any time through your account settings. When upgrading from a monthly plan to a higher-tier monthly plan, the price difference will be prorated for the remainder of your current billing cycle. When upgrading to the Lifetime plan, the full Lifetime price will be charged immediately.
You may also switch between monthly and annual billing cycles for the same plan. When switching from monthly to annual billing, the annual price will be charged immediately and the 20% discount will apply. When switching from annual to monthly billing, the change will take effect at the end of your current annual billing period.
7.2 Downgrading
You may downgrade your subscription plan at any time. The downgrade will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to higher-tier features until the current billing period expires. No partial refunds are issued for downgrading mid-cycle.
7.3 Switching from Lifetime to Monthly
The Lifetime plan grants permanent access to premium features. If you hold a Lifetime plan, switching to a monthly plan is not necessary and is not supported, as your access is already permanent for the operational lifetime of the Service.
8. Failed Payments
If a scheduled payment fails (e.g. due to expired card, insufficient funds, or bank decline), the following process applies:
- Retry attempts: Stripe will automatically retry the charge according to its smart retry schedule, typically over a period of up to 7 days.
- Notification: we will notify you by email of the failed payment and request that you update your payment method.
- Grace period: you will retain access to premium features during the retry period.
- Suspension: if all retry attempts fail and you do not update your payment method, your subscription will be downgraded to the Free plan. Your account data and simulation history will be preserved.

9. Cancellation
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at support@optionssimulator.com.
- Effective date: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that date.
- No further charges: once cancelled, no further auto-renewal charges will be made.
- Re-subscription: you may re-subscribe at any time at the then-current price.
- Data retention: your account and simulation data will be retained after cancellation. If you wish to delete your account and data entirely, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

10. Taxes
The prices displayed on the Service are exclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may be subject to Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), sales tax, or other local taxes.
Where we are legally required to collect taxes, the applicable tax amount will be calculated and displayed during checkout before you confirm your payment. Tax collection and remittance is handled through Stripe Tax where applicable.
You are responsible for any taxes imposed on your purchase that we are not legally required to collect.
11. Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. If we increase the price of your active subscription plan:
- We will notify you by email at least 30 days before the new price takes effect.
- The new price will apply from your next renewal date after the notice period.
- If you do not agree with the price change, you may cancel your subscription before the next renewal date without penalty.
Price changes do not apply retroactively to the current billing period. The Lifetime plan price at the time of purchase is final and cannot be increased after your purchase.
12. Disputes and Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us at support@optionssimulator.com before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer. We will investigate and resolve billing issues promptly.
Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us may result in temporary suspension of your account pending investigation. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination.
13. Promotional Offers and Discounts
From time to time, we may offer promotional pricing, discount codes, or special offers. Unless otherwise stated:
- Promotional prices apply for the specified period only and revert to the standard price upon renewal.
- Discount codes are single-use, non-transferable, and cannot be combined with other offers.
- We reserve the right to modify or withdraw promotional offers at any time.
